Il padre del rock&roll nasce a Saint Louis nel 1926. Pubblica il suo primo singolo ufficiale Maybellene nel 1955, che precede l'uscita del suo primo Rock, Rock , Rock, mandato alle stampe nel 1956.L'importanza che Chuck Berry ha avuto sulla storia della musica rock è testimoniata dai brani Roll Over Beethoven, Thirty Days, You Can't Catch Me, School Day, Johnny B. Goode e Rock and Roll Music.
